And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
—Hebrews 10:24-25
True life change happens most effectively in the context of redemptive community—men and women who walk through life together and bear one another’s burdens.
iReach discipleship groups are small gatherings of 8-12 people who meet for 6 weeks in order to encourage and love one another as they study God’s Word and come to better understand God’s love for them.
The 6-session iReach study has been utilized in small groups throughout Africa over the past decade, and has a proven track record of helping group members better grasp the idea that God loves them, and wants them to share His love with others.
National discipleship group leaders also encourage members to invite non-Christians as well, which makes the group an evangelism tool to reach the larger community with God’s message of love through Christ.
In the coming three years, we’ve made it our goal to begin new iReach discipleship groups in countries throughout sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, and the US, strategically targeting areas where unreached people groups are prominent.
Additionally, we’ll revise the 6-week iReach group study to be even more relevant as groups begin in new countries and among new people groups.
Plus, plans are underway to extend the study beyond the initial 6 weeks, so that members will have an ongoing support structure as they engage their communities for Christ.
“My small group has been a lifeline for me in my journey to Jesus. I had never heard of God’s love. Reading the Bible with my group and hearing the stories of Jesus’ teaching on love has changed my life forever.”
